When I get on TDR from my work computer. They have FaceBook blocked on our system.

I view threads by hitting the "New Posts" button then scanning the list. When I enter a thread and get ready to go back to the list, it will not go back and I get "tagged" for hitting FaceBook. If I hold the back button to show the last few places I've been, it shows the thread I'm in, then the next one is something about FaceBook, then below it is "TDR Search Results" from where I hit "NewPosts". Why does it show I have done something with FaceBook? It doesn't do this from my home computer, I guess because I don't have FaceBook blocked at home.

Guess I'm going to have to quit visiting TDR on my lunch and breaks.

The site uses Facebook Connect, which allows people to login via their Facebook login. We have a large number of users who use the Facebook Connect functionality, so it can't be removed without disconnecting their login. You might be able to use the instructions here to effectively block it: http://geekussion.com/windows/block-facebook-hosts-file-windows-pc-99/

Scroll down to the section "Blocking Facebook with Hosts File" and follow those instructions.

I couldn't log on at all today. I was going to make a screen shot of it. Why does it do it every time I enter a thread? If it's for them to be able to log on, why not just at the log in?

I don't know why it does it (I'd need to see what's going on with your corporate firewall). Post a screen shot first chance you get and I'll see what I can do. Did you try those instructions in post #2?

Our IT guy came back here a few minutes ago and looked at it. He had me download FireFox and using it the TDR came right up with no issues. Must have been an issue with IE.

Thanks for your help.
