Factory CD troubles - any fix?

mine did something similar, it will quit playing and refuses to work again until it gets stone cold again... not finding an aftermarket receiver that would accomodate the "mouse ears" for the volume and tuning knob, I too went to an MP3 player...

Won't most of the new aftermarket players play both MP3s and CD's?
