Got it finished. Factory system and added a MTX 311D 310 watt class D mono sub amp runnind a pair of RM8 slim line 8" free air Kickers mounted to the back of the passenger back seat.

Klenger's links made all the difference, as I was able to grab the plug diagram for the stock deck in less than 10 min. Ended up being an easy install after figuring out just what to do.

Sounds great! Not the "bass only" sound, just added sub bass to what I thought was a fairly good system.

No one can tell there is anything there and I can still add a changer under the driver set, as the amp is vertical next to the steering colum. Still have all my storage and still have my load floor too.

sorry no pics, but it is pretty str8 forward.

A piece of wood (3/4") about 10" tall x 34" wide with two 8" holes cut in it. Then put two 8" subs in the holes, and screw the wood to the framing of the back seat. Hook up the wires, cut out a hole in the insulation for each magnet & reinstall the seat. run your wires up to you amp and do the rest of the wiring. The dash just pops off and the deck comes out easily.

That sounds nice.

I have been waiting to see something like this for thumpers. I have not been willing to sacrifice the little storage that I have.

Some pics would really be nice!

Do you think 10" subs would mount in that space---I have two sitting around and was waiting to see where people came up with the space to put them.

? for you on the wiring. What stereo do you have and what wiring did you have to do to run the amp off of it? Did you have to run a high to low level converter?

Thanks, Russ

very little mounting space, maybe 2. 5" depth. My deck is the 6-disc, Klenger has a link to some great info on wiring. If your amp has high level input, no converter. Some have ran high level into low level input with the gain turned almost all the way down.
