Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Factory high idle with Edge Comp?

I'm wondering if the factory reflash for fast idle and 3cyl operation works with the comp box installed? I am interested in having this program installed on my truck, but if it won't work with the edge box on, it's a waste of time to have it done. I don't think this would affect anything, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?



Any other comments about this feature. It seems from the search I've done, some people had troubles with it not working at all, even on stock trucks. Have the problems been worked out?



Lastly, will this cost me or is it covered under warranty? If it costs, how much?

Had mine programed at the Mikes place in ND with my EZ edge installed in a 2002. It worked great. It was really cool, or should I say warm when I got back in my truck. It fast idled at about 1150 untill I touched the pedals. I didn't go to the fast Idle right away when I started it. I was in the house before I noticed it went to the fast idle. It worked just perfect.

I had the reflash done under warrenty with no problems. I also have the Comp box and have experienced no problems.

A lot of the 01 and 02 trucks have the programming in the controller and all you need to do is take the DRB III and enable it.



You can enable and disable any time with the scan tool.
