I have noticed that my seat covering on the drivers side can just sorta be taken off. It is not sewn on. Does this mean that I can buy the replacement covering and just put it on? Mine has a pretty good tear in it.

If not, where can you get matched upholsterey?

TIA,

yea all the covers just unclip on all the seats as far as getting factory replacements they probaly cost more than there worth i went with katzkin leather covers and for about 1300 i got 2 tone leather with custom embrodery for my extended cab

just about any upholstery shop can order matching fabric for your seats. Call around to the local ones and you may find one that will give you a pretty decent deal. If you want leather, I agree Katzkins are a good deal and offer alot of customizing options, just depends on what all you want.

Your local car upholstery shop can get the exact material that is on your truck It cost me $75 to have mine repair about 5 yrs ago

Anyone know where to get the guts (foam?) of the seat. Mine leans to the left and the little hump on the side isn't a hump anymore, makes me sorta slide against the door in high G maneuvers

I can tell you that up here the dealer wants almost 400 bucks just for the lower seat cover. Talk about taking from the poor and giving to the rich. Highway robbery!

There was post by someone by the name of 'Denny' in June of '01 about getting the foam to replace the original. I copied and pasted the info so I would have it, and there were good instructions. You might do a search for 'foam' or something and get some hits. Maybe Denny is still around and will chime in.

The foam can be gotten by the same upholstery shops. I had the "guts" of my drivers side redone about two years ago because of the leaning to the side problem. For the foam and one of the panels of the lower seat cover (agate leather) it cost me right at about 100. There was also an article in one of the magazine issues about two years ago that gave instructions on doing a fix for this. Either way if you do some research it really should not be that expensive to fix.

Do you mean $1300 for leather seat covers from Katskins???

I called 2 or 3 local shops and none of them canget a exact match, so I will keep calling around.

thanks guys.
