i have a 2001 ram are the factory service manual okay for the average guy and what supplements do i need, also whats better cd or paper thanks

Welcome aboard!

The factory service manual is a very worthwhile investment... I wouldn't want to be without one. If I have to choose one over the other, I'd go with the the CD version because it's so much easier to search for things in a pdf reader, and you can still print pages when you need to have them out at the truck. I have and use both. :)

I also highly recommend the 3 different Dodge Diagnostic Procedures Manuals for your truck: Powertrain, Chassis, and Body. These are smaller (thinner) than the service manual are invaluable for troubleshooting difficult problems.

Best regards,

i have the paper FSM and the CD for my 99.
I like browsing the paper fsm, but the CD is great since I can print what I need, make notes and bring it out with me without ripping those super thin pages in the FSM, and greasing them up. .
