Factory Mopar went to 4000, I believe. I've test driven a few of them. Redline at 2750 rpm, lol. I know guys who wont turn more than 2200, for fear of engine damage. THen I tell them about poor bottom end air flow, high EGT, and that these engines are MADE to turn 2500 rpm day and night, and then let em ride in my mildly tuned truck..... 2200 is fine if you're empty, but if you're pulling a backhoe on a 25' G-N, rap 'er out before shifting.
CB, if I go back to school, I may go where you are; instructrs at Mizzou werent NEAR this easy on us at semester's end. But it did make for some great "cram" sessions over in the greek houses.
