Wzup fellas check out these pics of my factory Firestone Transforce tires 285-60-20, 6200 miles old and these are the front 2???? Is this normal or balance issue or crapy tires

. It appears as though you have too much toe. Go to a real alignment shop and have them set it to no more than 1/10 of a degree total toe in. Running on abrasive surfaces exaggerates the problem.

My 18" Transforce tires wore amazingly fast, and were gone on 13K miles. Alignment was good and they were rotated. Good riddance.

Replaces with Nittos and they are wearing well. No issues.

Another tire to consider, is the Sailun Terramax At's. Don't hear much about them, but as time goes we will. Anyone that researched or heard about the Sailun S637's , or have run them on their fifth wheels know the quality of Sailun tires .

No more paying the hight price for Toyo's , Nittos, etc, , Sailuns will be my next truck tire .

Do you have a son that drives It?

Or lots of gravel road travel?

Yes i have a son 14, doesnt drive it, took it on a unpaved road @1000 miles after i got the tires for about 50miles @ 30-45mph, its crazy, iv never seen that before not even on cheapy brand tires

Agree. The Transforce suck. Although they do not show as much damage as your pics, they are wearing on the outside tread on both front tires. I also have a slight vibration in the truck at higher speeds. They have been rotated and balanced with 43K miles. I cant wait to replace them, but will try to wear these to the max.

Mine wore evenly, no cupping or feathering. They would have balls of rubber on the edges of tread blocks, like the race tires on my track bike, except the truck was never driven like an autocross car. Worst tires I ever owned, hands down.

I've been eyeballing the Sailun ATS 4s based on my experiences with my S637's. They carry the mountain snowflake rating which is important to me. The one thing that bothers me is the weight of these tires. 52 lbs on the Sailun vs 62 lbs on the same size (275/70/18) Toyo Open Country CT which is a comparable tire and another i am considering. Weight is only a part of the story but from my past experiences lighter constructed tires tend not to fair as well longevity wise. Especially on heavy trucks that tow or haul heavy payloads. I've ran Toyos in the past and would be comfortable running them again.
You need to hurry up and buy the Sailuns and give some feedback on them :)

I have a friend that has been running them for about two months, he also runs the S637's on his fifth wheel. They full-time so I'll get a pretty good idea how those Terramax will do. My tires at the present are the Toyo AT2's , with only 10K on them, so he will probably wear out those Sailuns before I wear out the Toyo's .He puts on a lot more miles then I do . He will let me know .

I will certainly buy them unless he has something bad to say about them. I will let you know how they do .

Thanks please do, thanks for commenting :D

My Son has been happy with his Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5R18 Load "F"

50k on these he said if he rotated properly he could have gone 60.
