After reading a TSB regarding the rear of the truck being to high to use a fifthwheel, I am wondering how to tell if mine has the smaller block, of if differeent leaf springs were available. Mine sits about 2" lower than my neighbors 98 in the back, with my levling kit it sits high in front. Does anyone know the height the factory installed block is supposed to be? I believe the TSB block is 1-7/8" lower.

Mine also sits lower in the rear than alot of trucks of the same configuration, Always wondered why this would be, I will measure my "blocks" tomorrow

I measured my rear block and I believe it was 3-3/4" tall. I cant remember exactly though, because while under there I noticed my u-bolts were about to fall off!!!!

I will measure again and post to be sure.

Finally got to measuring my blocks, about 4 1/2". What I would like to know is the axle to frame spacing. I weasured my spacerblock bump stop to the rubber bump stop. It measures 3 3/4" not a whole lot of travel, Maybe my springs are worn these measurments are with a near empty truck (a sheet of plywood and some trash). ?

That is about what my truck measures from the block bumpstop to the rubber on the frame, 3-3/4". My block is only 3-3/4" also. I would like to get the taller block if anyone wants to trade????

I will measure axle to frame.
