Will factory tow mirrors fit my 98 ? Not really wanting to go after market if they are as big of piece of crap as the ones I've got

Check out Geno's Garage. They have a great assortment of mirrors that will fit your truck. I bought a set for my 96. They look great and provide excellent visibility. They can extend for towing or retract when I am not towing.

I really like this style but they shake so horrible you have to be stopped to see anything out of them I was gonna get some from genos but somebody said that there's shake bad to

Geno's no longer carries the ones I bought. The Kool-Vue variety are similar to the mirrors I bought. I do not have a problem with the mirrors vibrating. They are rock solid. Could your mirrors need to be tightened at the mount? The instructions for mounting my mirrors said to securely tighten the mounting hardware.

Do you have the ones like I have then ? From genos

2002 came out with the factory flip up mirrors, i went down to dealership and asked what they had that fit, the only thing is you have to manually adjust them, Monte

That's what I do like about mine they are heated and power but man are they complete garbage maybe it would be worth to go to manual . Almost ready to go back to stock small mirrors

Would one of you guys do me a favor while you have your mirrors off, measure between the studs on the 2nd gen truck, for me and post it.
Andreasen:
you do have the re-reinforcement bracket installed? don't you.

The oem tow mirrors fit 94-02.The kit includes the reinforcement plates and a plug for the door panel to fill the hole left by removing the mirror switch

I have CIPA from Genos. Works nice. Very minor adjustment to the glass when sliding them out. Keep my truck in the garage at home so with the mirrors out it would hit.
