I installed my FP gauge last night & when I started the truck it was reading 10 psi at idle - everything looked good, so I left it running & went in to wash up...

When I came back out the gauge was at 0. I fiddled with the fittings & nothing changed. I drove it home cautiously.

This morning, the gauge read 5 psi when I started it up & slowly dropped to 0 in a couple minutes.

I don't have 100% confidence in my installation so I'm not sure if my LP is done, or if my gauge is just acting up.

Any advice?

A lota people have put on guages only to find that their lift pump was allready Tummy Up. LP's are finniky. Some last 100K some last 100 secconds ... go figure. At any rate Where and how do the Banks guages install. They are the same guage as westach or isspro if memory serves me right.

I am getting the same thing with my dyno tune gauge. I found out it was the LP that was bad. Those things slowly die. My pressure would be 15 psi one second and 0 the next. I put a schader vavle at the outlet of the lift pump and when it started to "act up" i would jump out and hook a mechanical gauge up to the vavle and it confirmed my thoughts. I hope this helps...

Justin-

after some more inspection, it looks like I have air in the line between the isolator & the gauge.

Not sure how I'm going to bleed it, as there is no bleed valve on the isolator.

it will take some figuring...

Just installed my Di Pricol gauges last night, and am echoing the same thing as others above. 45K miles and never replaced the pump yet. 12 PSI idle, 8-9PSI @ 70 mph criuse, WOT down to 4-5 PSI. From my searching on here I was expecting approx. 15 PSI idle, and 8-10 PSI min WOT. I'm thinking it's time to head to the dealer??? My line is tapped off the pump valve.

Oh yea, brand new fuel filter...

I managed to get the air out of my antifreeze line...

Gauge reads 10-12 psi at idle & holds steady under easy driving - WOT brings it down to 5 psi!

It might be time to order the FASS.
