95 1 ton. I bought it about a month ago and it ran fine. let it sit for a week and it failed to start. Not getting any fuel . Think I could get by with bleeding system but lift pump seems to be going out. (fuel on bottom of pump) Truck has 343,768 miles on

it. I need a vote of confidence. Anyone with same problem?.

Thanks for your help.

If you have fuel on the bottom of your pump look closely where it's coming from. It could be a leaking fuel return/supply line. Can you pump the primer up and get it started? could be a fuel shutoff solenoid/relay problem. Most people have been through the no start times... Give us more indications and someone will help you with the problem.

The most likely problem is the fuel hoses. This can be a bear to fix because there is no room to work. If this is the problem remove the two nuts that fasten the master cylinder to the vacuum booster and lean it toward the fender. From below remove the starter. Do a search to get the right sizes and type of hose.

The next most likely problem is the fuel return check valve on the side of the injection pump. It looks like a banjo fitting even with the first delivery valve. If you remove this to check it cram a rag in the gap below it to catch the washers.

If the above doesn't fix it then remove the manual pump button on the lift pump. It has a couple of O rings that get bad and leak like crazy.

The lift pump on the 12 valve very seldom goes bad.
