A coworker of mine just last weekend bought a 94 5 speed dually Cummins and proceeded to total it last Friday night. He's talking about parting it out and if the engine isn't cracked I told him I would be interested in it for the parts for my upcoming 1st gen ppump swap.
Some things I noticed on it when I looked under the hood when he bought it was that the ID tag said 180 hp so I'm not sure if the gear case has been swapped due the dowel pin falling out at some time or if the entire engine was swapped to one from a newer automatic truck, i didn't really pay attention to the tag on the pump to see if it's still the 175hp version or indeed swapped.
What would be a fair price to pay him if it isn't ripped out of the motor mounts?
