I just got an estimate of 1900. 00 to replace the front bumper assembly, right front fender and small dent on hood where it meets fender above headlight. (With supposedly all OEM parts) Is that a fair price? (I hit a deer... . hard)

Doesn't sound to bad. Don't know where you are at but as we speak mine is in the shop getting a small(in depth) crease about 28" long and a good corner ding on the extended cab on the rounded portion right at the door jam fixed for 1600 and high change. Yours is alot more work and parts than mine.

Put an after market bumper on , it will serve you alot better than the oem bumper if you ever wack a deer again.

cheers, Kevin

Price sounds reasonable to me based upon my "deer" experience. It was a small deer and damage was all on the center bumper and below the grill. Body shop included the price of a A/C condenser and associated costs. Claim was near $1600. 00. Don't remember exactly since it has been about two years ago.

Now have a Bullbar bumper that should withstand the front end attacks.

I hit a deer last may, $6780. 00 after all was said and done, replaced front and rear bumpers with Ranchand and took the leftover and put on new alloy rims. Won't ever go back to that POS plastic bumper. Lot of good things in these new vehicles but this plastic bumper thing drives me nuts, especially when I can get better and stronger protection for less money.

That doesn't sound out of line to me either dependent on the extent of damage behind those parts and the cost of labor in your area. I went to school for auto body adn would have to say that most have no idea the number of hours that actually go into the repair and repainting procedures if the job is to turn out with any semblence of quality. As far as deer damage last summer I was doing about 85 mph down the interstate and had the missfortune of hitting a dear which proceded to come around and hit the door and box as well and the estimate was $4500. 00 and I had much more than that into it before all was said and done considering all the hours to refinsh the truck to an acceptable level.

just my two cent's Seth
