Diesel Drags At Masondixon Dragway Oct. 17

Possible Pittsburgh/SW Pa Truck Show???

Kauffmans, the same place as the summer event was?

Being new to the club, I was at the event in the summer, at Kauffmans. Want to be certain this is the same place. (I had my Jetta TDI in the summer, because my transmission was out. Guess what, 4 trannys later, it is still out, might have my Jetta Diesel, see about dynoing it that day. I hope to have my truck, however. )

And Mike (Hoot), and Kevin (MD500E), we could always meet to eat at the Exton Diner on Route 100, since that is on the way to the turnpike entrance.

Scott, exton diner sounds good, but another option could be the Micky D's at the morgantown exit if that would include more people. I may even bring my trailer just to make sure your new truck makes it this time!! :D

So far, Kevin, two more DTR people (Cumminsdieselboy and Git-R-Done; they live in Pottstown) may coming to the Exton Diner, plus, me, Mike (Yo Hoot) and Dave (Wannadiesel on DTR) are definites. We're meeting there at 6 am for a quick breakfast, then rolling out the turnpike. Hope to see you there.

I'll post more details, and cell phone numbers via PMs as we get closer.

Good deal. That will be pretty cool with a half dozen of us rolling on the turnpike, and down Route 15 into Kauffman's. Oo. :D

Motel info. .

Here is a list of Motels in the York,PA area that have rooms available for that weekend. Seems like most are now being a bit stingy and do not want to offer a discount for a group rate. The one that may and I will call back tommorrow is the Comfort Inn Corporate Gateway. I'll post in the am tommorrow with a update from their manager when she contacts me. At any rate, with the recent cancellation of the "Lucas Oil Nationals" at Maple Grove Raceway motels are going to get harder to secureas most east of us are now filling up due to Hershey Antique car show and now the NHRA rescheduling the same weekend. here are the ones in my area now that have rooms and I'll post any info from the Comfort Inn if we can secure a better rate for a large group.

Comfort Inn Corporate Gateway-2250 N. George Street York,PA 717-699-1919

Red Roof Inn-323 Arsenal Road York,PA 717-843-8181

Hampton Inn-1550 Mt Zion Road York,PA 717-840-1500

Hampton Inn-4950 Ritter Road Mechanicsburg,PA 17055 717-691-1300

(This motel is right off the turnpike and along US Rte 15. I have left a voicemail for the manager to try here also to secure us a group rate)

We will see who calls us back first and I'll update asap tommorrow..... Andy

Brian,

Sure, just show up... . We want as many people to come as want too. The cost to just hang out is whopping ZERO. You only have to pay if you dyno.

Doug

I may be down too, met a few of you guys at Carlisle this year. I'll probably be coming down from college in Williamsport though, and I don't have a truck to bring (strongly doubt dad would let me beat the hell out of his 04. 5) I may be down though, we'll see. I should try to get a few kids from school to take their trucks down, we have a large following of 12v auto trucks this year, I seem to be gaining a reputation for making them run (and smoke) a little better :D

Anyway, off to do a mystery switch on a 96...

looking foward to seeing ya there will... i met ya at the mopar show in carslile. (ive lived here for over a year and still cant spell it. )

has the bomb bug bit your dad's 04. 5 truck yet?

Nothin on dad's truck yet... I am little scared of hurting the trans while it's under warranty. As it sits it is silencerless otherwise stock though. May be straight piped and guaged soon for any potential future bombs. That truck got 18mpg towing the roadrunner home from carlisle though, towed weight was around 6000 pounds, so I consider that pretty decent with an auto.

Hopefully will see ya there

-Will
