CLASS WINNERS FOR 2006 "Fall Brawl".....

1st Generation Modified... . JD730... . DTR... . Michael Mengeus(351. 14/764. 60)

While I didn't get to see Michael run it was obvious to this writer that a owner who tows in with his First Genner coming in and leaves with his Second Genner doing the work loves his truck. Michael laid down a very nice run with his 93 Dodge to earn him top spot in the newest class. This was a new class this year and while counts were low the owners who came and competed showed us they enjoyed it. The Mason-Dixon TDC would like to offer their congratulations to Michael on his win and his trophy will be sent to him.

Modified... . CTD8999... . TDR... . Steve Bohatch(599. 68/1139. 92)

To those who know Steve realize how competitive he is and how strong a truck he owns. He has been flogging on it for a few years now and is knocking on the door for 600 and only missed by a tiny bit. Steve is one of the nicest guys around and will do anything to help you out if needed. Congratulations from The Mason-Dixon TDC to Steve On a job well done.

Competition... . LMills... . TDR... . Lloyd Mills(730. 35/1176. 04)

What can be said about our buddy Lloyd that best describes him. Lloyd has one of the nicest Third Genners around and is about as close to a old style street sleeper if there ever was one. Take away his stacks and when you would look at it his truck gives no indication of what lies beneath. A stout run from a truck which he(with the help of some dedicated friends)has gotten to become one of the East's premier powerhouses. Driven to insanity at times by his never ending chase Dockboy maybe now Lloyd can sit back and enjoy his accomplishment. One thing I will offer is he also got to become the Mason-Dixon TDC's 1st(man and I hope we don't do this one again,LOL) owner to win and have his trophy forgotten to be ordered. We will never hear the end of that one but,Congratulations Lloyd on a job well done from the Mason-Dixon TDC. Offshoreracr's wife Jody did present Lloyd with a compensation trophy made from a paper dinner plate so he didn't feel left out,Thanks Jody for the help.

Unlimited... . Offshoreracr... . TDR... . Fred Huber(791. 52/1200+)

Dubbed the "Silver Bullet" by me Fred & Jody's sleek looking dually shows now signs of what could happen to you if by chance you run into him and attempt to show him up. Another fine looking wolf in sheeps clothing if there ever was one that is brought to life by a stomp on the loud pedal and one hanging onto the steering wheel. Fred and Jody have been flogging this one for a few years now and it only recently has gotten sorted out and came to life showing the potential he knew was there all along. Not far off the 800hp mark and a tad more tuning on this new combo and there will be more iron for the fat fendered bottle rocket from Western PA. Congratulations from the Mason-Dixon TDC to the Hubers for a job well done and a win which they have been working on for a few years.

Maximum Bummer!

I s**ks to be home in bed while you all get to have all the fun :{ Geez I know I missed out. Even LMILLS had fun, and he couldn't even open a hotdog roll at the NOVA meet & greet :-laf

I'm so bummed out that I couldn't attend, I think I'll stay in bed a few more days and dream I was there.

I won the show and shine and topped the Dyno... (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

Huh What? I didn't win??? Dang Guess you gotta go to show up to win :) It was a nice dream anyway :-laf

Hope all had a great day, and I know for a fact Japol didn't wreck his truck again Oo.

Gads I hate not being able to attend.

Notes,News and other Things...

Well I HAVE to start with this one NEW award that was given out TODAY.....

"How I Set The Burglar Alarm Off Next Door While I Tried To Whip Offshoreracr" award OR "How many Nitrous BANGS will a 24v head withstand before liftoff" OR "The AS Big As BasketBalls Award"... Its goes to Doug Leonhard. For those who don't know Doug, you would never have believed what he put his truck through today while trying to get one up on Offshoreracr. Once he had it in his mind it was going to be a win or let the parts hit the floor there was no stopping him. Monsterous Nitrous jets, fattened water meth mix and he was off to see just what the give point was on his ARP head studs. To those who witnessed it will remember it vividly as the numerous nitrous bangs were enough to curl the hairs on most owners necks and yet he pushed on still tuning and trying. A visit by the local authorities due to one of the bangs setting off the next door alarms showed he was serious,LOL. After realizing his chase was in vain today the pursuit was given up when sanity finally reared up and took over(it was either that of fear of walking again due to not having his truck,LOL). Seriously,Doug did give it his all and yet came up a tad short, which by no means takes away from what he did. 785. 47hp/1200+tq out of a single chargered, stock exhaust manifold equipped 24v automatic truck had us all shaking our heads in disbelief. Doug should be commended on his attempt and a job well done,I know I was amazed he could drive it home.

I'd like to offer a huge THANK YOU to the ENTIRE Kauffman Motorsports crew for a job well done. Without them this show would never have gotten to what it was this weekend and even in the face of adversity they plowed on and made it one to remember. They make the job at hand seem like a ordinary day and it then allows owners to enjoy the happenings. Tha Mason-Dixon TDC appreciates their hard work and looks forward to our springtime return.

I was also amazed at the weather this weekend. With the local forcast for nice day on Saturday and possible showers Sunday it was absolutely gorgeous. The wet weather stayed away and we all had the time of our lives enjoyed the fine trucks and happenings. It certainly made for a wonderful weekend of fun for all.

Other thanks need to go out to the vendors who support our club which also made it a huge sucess... .

-Fluidampr was on hand showing off their fine product which makes all us feel safe and secure at rpm during drag racing, sled pulling or offroading. Thanks to Lynn and his wife for coming down to be with us and answer the tough questions some guys asked. Thank You Lynn.

-SP Diesel was seen on the grounds providing service to their customers and taking photos of the happenings. Sean and Brad are at each event helping to make sure those who use their products are able to get help if needed, thanks guys for your continued support.

-D-P Tuner was also on hand and kept very busy tuning the Ford owners rides for max performance. Diane and Jody have been coming for a few years now and we appreciate their continued help and look forward to seeing them in the spring.

-East Coast Diesel-Ladell and Randall Weaver were on hand with us Saturday and had one of their pullers on display for all to see and even entertained the crowd later in the day with it. They are a new up and coming diesel shop in our area and we appreciate their support this weekend.

-Liberator Performance-Sean was with us both days fielding many questions, helping to fix members problems(Kelly was one,LOL) and showing off some of his products available, such as his 6. 0 Ford EGR Elimination pipe, which drew alot of interest with the 6. 0 guys. Thank You Sean for your continued help and support.

-DPW-While most would think Jetpilot just wanders around aimlessly(LOL)he is usually off trying to help one of his customers or someone who needs it. His business is one that has been growing by leaps and bounds and I am glad to see it keeping him busy. Thanks Doug!.

-Our Trophy Vendors... Old Chickies Hill Auto Transport and Geno's Garage. . Tow fine businesses who go usually unnoticed and in the background who desrve a note of thanks. The Pattons have always helped with class trophies and Cliff(Oasis-3)stepped up to provide the show-n-shine trophies. Thanks again.

To my fellow club members who helped make this show a HUGE success, thank you. Without your help cooking, parking trucks, judging etc etc etc this would have never been as great as it was. Thanks Gang!!

Having gotten some time thanks to Dockboy(Thanks Greg) to wander about some I was amazed at the trucks and the crowd size. While saturday was huge to say the least Sundays crowd was no slouch either. When you dyno 81 trucks in 2 days, with having lost some dyno time due to a computer crash, you could say we were busy. I was amazed at how paitent owners were and only a few complaints were heard by myself personally. I am glad to see more Ford owners joining the fun and now maybe we can get some Duramax owners to join us next time. These shows are about one thing to me,fellow diesel owners getting together to enjoy what we all like the best, our trucks. Sure there is some razzing between us,but, thats the best part and its all in fun. I Look forward to next years fun... ... ... ..... Andy

I forgot to mention "Diesel World" magazine on hand shooting the goings on and hanging out with us. The photographer told me he enjoyed himself and looks forwrd to the next show. There were some guys who got their trucks shot today and may get a chance to have them professionally done for a magazine spread. I was very glad to see someone finally show up to cover some of what we do and take back a different perspective of the shows we do... ... ... Andy

well that too. i didn't want to get into the little details. :-laf we will see in the spring.

Boy, I love how every year we hear about slipping tires, clutches, etc. There is no way the tires were slipping in the 500 HP range when they weren't on the trucks pushing almost 800 RWHP. The dyno doesn't lie and trucks did what they did, thats why we dubbed it the "Humbler".

I really would have loved to see the NGM truck on the dyno but alas it didn't happen... . There was even an offer of a "paid for" run by one member and after the trash talking of how it would have beat The 791 RWHP put down by our unlimited winner there was a pot of $600 in his pocket if he actually did it. But the truck went back home with no dyno runs the way it came in, on a trailer.

the truck did not hold coolant. that was saw plain as day while warming it up.

its not like i didnt try to get this thing on the dyno. do honestly think that we would bring it almost 4 hours to PA and not want to dyno?

Hmmm...

I wonder why this truck was seen parked where it was at?. Could this have been on purpose?... ... ... Andy

im just goin off what i was told from dave about the tires spinning.

about the clutch... the clutch pedal was stiff as a rock when i got back into my truck. i had to smash it to the ground 4-5 times before it would even go into reverse. what else could that mean????

Don't know what Dave you are referring but Dave Guy who was the dyno operator stated the tires were not slipping, I was standing right in the bay when he said this.

well then let me drain all the coolant out of your truck and then we will see if you would dyno it.

this is a daily driven truck so that means not truck no work for wade. again i ask why would we waste our time and bring this truck 4 hours to PA without plans of dynoing?

we didnt trailer this from his house this way once we met at wes's place for some cleaning we took the truck out for a run and blew a freeze plug. so Rams&hogs was nice enough to allow us to use his trailer to pick up the truck and take it to lloyds to use his lift and try to make something work so we could dyno sunday. i didnt work until 3AM on sunday morning for someone to tell me that we didnt try to get on the dyno.

look i dont know why it is even a big deal, i and many other heard dave say it did slip and even saw it happen. leave it alone guys, doug ask hammer, he made rob do the run over because there was a spin dip in the curve.

the only reason my truck made a second pull was because dave said it spun the tires.

howcome i never heard ANY of this info, it is news to me, well it does not matter now---it is what it is.

oh yea, another one of our buddies "AFTER SHOCK" also spun on the dyno and made like 560 or 580, but he also pushes his 8500lbs dually down the track @ 12. 30et, his truck makes way more power than that.

As I heard it the truck has run 12. 80's. But the truck made mid 500's on the dyno. The truck may have run well at the track in the past but this weekend it was putting down what it did. As I was told the truck's engine was honed in the frame, could it be the rings? The dyno doesn't lie..... I have dynoed over 900 RWHP on BFG MT's and not had slipping tires, why would you say 500 HP trucks are slipping them?

I am not disputing After Shocks timeslips, but rather why all we are hearing is how all the NGM trucks were spinning tires on the dyno. But this was one great looking truck!
