Here is a little run down. I would get to 20 psi of boost and the boost would drop to 0 and I would have this detonation type sound (like pinging in a gas engine but louder). I can immediately accelerate again only for it to dump at 20 psi.
I set the EZ to 0 and it worked fine max boost 27 psi. Changed the fuel filter and ran it again. with EZ on 0 it worked fine. Put EZ on level 4 worked fine all day FRIDAY!
Last night was trying to pass someone on the highway got on it and it tanked again. The truck doesn't die just loses all power. Set the EZ to level 3 same thing. Level 2 same thing. Level 1 same thing. Fixing to try level 0 but I don't think it is going to be an issue.
I searched on TDR about 3 hours last night. It seems this wouldn't be a sign of the lift pump because that sucker usually just dies out. I have no hard starting problems, it filled up the fuel filter fine when i changed it on Friday.
I am leaning towards the EZ being the problem. What do you guys think? Could it be the pop off valve? If so how would I know?
