Fan Clutch Going Out?

How about using an electric fan? I would think it would be cheaper than the Horton clutch and allow the same control.

I looked into an electric fan(s). It looks like they wouldn't flow enough CFM to cool the engine on a hot day or a 'bombed' engine . Us guys that don't tow or haul could probably get away with it. It wouldn't be cheap to do, and it might not work well.

The only commom proplem of the vis fan is the fan blade paddles them self cracking and if not caught brakes off and can and has taken out many a rad a/c condensor and other items..... Check very close. Miles before failure will be well behond 3/36 warranty.
Where do's the crack start--just behond the fan hub,about 1/4-1/2 " up the paddle from where the same is riveted to the hub.
