How noisy is the radiator fan clutch and do you always hear it when engaged?

The clutch itself makes no noise. It's just the fan itself that makes a lot of noise pushing a huge volume of air.

You shouldn't notice any excessive fan clutch noise, if your question whether or not it s working? With the truck off try spinning he fan by hand if here is resistance than it's fine ut if it free wheels you have a problem
