What us the best way to remove the clutch from the pulley? I bought the special tool that is supposed to work but the tool that holds the pulley stationary is too small. The package says Ford clutch removal but on the back it says it will also work on Dodge. Is there a better tool or some trick? Any help would be great! Thanks.

Hi, I have a universal pulley holder from napa. It grabs whatever two bolt heads you put it on while using the clutch wrench on the fan hub. I think it cost me about $35 but its been a few years.

Good luck!:D

The fan is on left-hand threads, if you take a semi-long chisel or drift, and a hammer, then hit on the right side of the nut a few good times, it will loosen, all for no cost. :D

After fighting with the fan nut for a little while, I finally decided to try a chain wrench to try and hold the pully. It worked excellent.
