i have to replace my fan clutch 2000 2500 with air having trouble

getting nut loose on water pump shaft from front view fan rotates

clockwise so i have a left handed thread fan clutch replacement but

loosening that nut is serious suggestions please and thank you

Spray it down with pb blast & try to hold it from turning by putting a breaker bar on the belt tensioner to keep the belt from spinning. The belt tensioner on my 99 has a bolt that you must loosen to be able to move the tensioner. Make sure to spray the pb blast off with some brake cleaner or it will squeal.

thank you for your response i dont know what p b blast is and

i have been able to get a 10mm wrench in on the water pump pulley as



suggested by thier install procedure and a i got a fair size adjustable

wrench on the nut and have given it a few good whacks but nothing yet

is p b blast like wd 40 where you spray and tap tap tap and wait for it

to gain entry ???

no such luck i ve been to florida st petes beach actually but live in

the pacific northwest a few miles shy of the canadian border thanks anyway

The best penetrating oil I know of is 'KROIL'.

Got a pint can direct from the mfr. for $6 (no s&h).

use it for everything now.
