Help needed

Last week the fan of my truck sucked the fan clutch wire harness, does some body have an old fan that we can take the cable with the connector?

Thanks for your help.

You can probably rewire it with normal wire and but connectors faster than getting a harness. If it pulled the wires out of the fan clutch, you need a new clutch.

Maybe it is still plugged into the harness on the lower driver side fornt of the engine? It has a lock on it that won't just allow it to pop out.

New plugs are avaiaible at different places on the internet or dealer. Dealer migh be a problem where you are at so internet might be your best bet.

Dealer, some auto parts stores, Cummins, Auto Electric shops, and even heavy equipment service shops.

Just need to know if it's a Weather Pak, Deutsch, Packard, etc, brand and plug shape. Take a picture and bring it with you.

Also going to need to know what wire goes where.

Post your truck details (year, model, trans, etc. . ) and we might be able to tell you which is which, unless it's a simple 2 wire, then you are good to go either way, or you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time.

Exactly what year is your truck??? I'll try to get you a part number for the repair connector.

Mike.

Six wires, with this truck I use the 2007 service manual.

thank you.

Using my 2006 for a pattern does this look correct for the chassis side of the fan clutch connector??? Do the wire colors appear to be correct???

Gray colored plug??

Forgive the screen shot but that seems to be the best way to deal with these connectors.

Yes, that is the connector.

OK, so you need one to plug into this. The image below is the connector you need, but it does not have a part number. I am providing this so that you have the wiring colors and location to go by.

Now I have done a search where the first connector is used (68052582AA). I discovered that it is used in several locations for the DR trucks. So I will get you a part number that will have the correct plug in it to fit the connector. You will have to apply the schematic from this image to get the wire colors correct.

Does that make sense to you???

OK, found a number of a kit that should work.

MOPAR # 68032864AA. From a Power Wagon but who cares... ... . :D

Mates with the connector on your shroud.
