10 min job.

Left hand thread on nut.

Always nice having the right stuff to get it done quickly.

Old one was seeming to seep a bit, throwing some oil on underside of hood.

Geno's had the clutch as well, no issues installing.

They are laser cut out of 1/4 plate (+/-), my guess is they have a local place make them up, no package were just zip tied together in the box.

The fan clutch was a Mopar from Geno's, was not stock maybe took 3-4 extra days from the rest of the stuff. But I have also had it sitting for a few weeks, waiting to get to it. So that was no big deal.

Or you just use a couple of wrenches that fit loose, then when it breaks loose, you take out your Radiator like I did

Yeah what a nice guy, they are made to order anymore he told me, had to take a little longer so he called me up and explained the whole process and if I was patient and could wait a little bit would not be dissapointed.

He was right, I did the complete set of what he had to offer, very nice to deal with.

Yeah its great to find folks like him, who will explain the whole thing and then some, call you up direct.

So back to the clutch, I think I need to do the bearings in the fan hub now, took it to work today and there is a squeak from the hub area, I think I got the bearing set from Geno's a while back and have them in the tool box.
Belt, idler are all new, alternator is rebuilt, never had a squeak till this AM after I drove it.

So that ended badly.

Sheared the heads off the fan hub. Threw the belt.

Fan Clutch is still tight.

Broke down on side of road.

Aww, schucks! How do you think the bolt heads sheared off? I looked at my running engine, and it didn't vibrate any more or less than yours in the vid. Just no squeak. Is the fan damaged? Looks like you had the premium serp belt, too. :[

Yep Warren County, raced Wall Stadium 97-02 in Belmar, lot of family and friend down in Ocean Cty.

Got it back to my shop, ordered my parts from Geno's for tomorrow delivery. Only thing I wonder about is the pulley being OK.

Will look in Quick Serve if that's available, did not see that in Geno s list.

My guess is the bolts came loose on the pulley to the hub and it wobbled to death, I did make it 24 miles, shut it down for a few hours, went to lunch and did not make it 1/4mi and it came apart. I did not touch them yesterday just popped off the clutch, and back on, No issue on idle check yesterday.

Never even a small squeak ever before this AM so when I stopped and heard the noise and shot that video, guess will know better to not push the issue next time. And will at least blue locktite those back in place.

Have it apart and waiting on parts, hope the pulley is good enough to make it home 20miles, did not get a chance to order one up.

No damage to the crank sensor for the fluidampr so that's a bonus.

Got a free tow back to my shop as well.

Mission accomplished on the tire machines, so it worked out, had to use my bowtie but it worked out in the end.

Got the new hub assy installed, pretty much as guessed the bolts must have backed out when I changed the fan clutch.

Marked them this time around and some red locktite. But overall sounds good no squeak again.

Gratz! I'm sure it feels good to be back on the road.

"Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available" -- I can watch your 'squeak' vid, though. Different camera?

I was not able to bring it home yet, have to work tomorrow in DE so needed to take a work van home. Maybe Friday for the weekend. Still need to get back to my "To Do List"

I think it formatted different for some reason when I uploaded that one.

Yeah this somehow is in HTML5, says not compatible on mine in the forum, but works in my browser.

This is a shorted version from the other side.
