Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fan Override Switch?

Does anyone know what size resistor to use on a 24v CTD when tring to hook up a manual fan override switch? I have done research on this but can't find the info. I have the switch on my '04 and read that it uses a different size resistor than the one that you would use on a '03 so I'm pretty sure it to would be different for the 24v. I have a '03 F-650 with a non-common rail CTD hooked up to a 2400 series Allison auto that I wan't to put this switch in especially with the hot S. TX summer just around the corner. TIA, John

Maybe it's because the 24-valve Cummins engines used model years 1998-2002 don't utilize an electronically controlled viscous fan clutch.

Post this question in the 3rd gen forum for more info. 2nd gen trucks are mechanical (fan that is:-laf )
