For the last week or ten days I have heard a metallic roar coming from the front of my engine. I had suspected that the power steering pump was going bad. It sounded like my 2000 did at 10 degrees until it warmed up. Today I spent a considerable amount of time crawling under and around the motor to isolate the sound. It seemed to be emanating from the center of the fan. After trying to wiggle all of the pulleys with the belt off I finally found the fan to have substantial movement. What type of bearings does it run on? Should I try to change this or take it in? I would appreciate any input from people who have removed the fan.

Thanks,

Bryan

Any helpful hints at removal or torque values for the reinstall. I have searched and found no other problems that were not fan clutch related. Is this a single piece are the bearings separate?
