Fan Shroud

Hi all, slowly but surely getting my new (to me) '14 dialed in. Was missing fan shroud when I bought it but since they are fairly cheap(and I got a good deal on truck) I wasn't too worried. Started researching and found about some of the issues with shroud/rubber getting sucked in the fan. Anyone ran without shroud for any length of time? Any apparent issues? In 60/70's right now here in NC, truck runs around 190-200deg coolant temp and trans 160ish(with MH Pan). It may run a couple degrees cooler with shroud but not sure it's worth the risk...

I went ahead and installed the fan shroud that was missing. No noticeable change, haven't towed enough for engine fan to come on with coolant temp. Just now and again for A/C High Press. Ran 700 mi round trip a couple weeks ago, coolant temps stay in 190's and trans temp around 165 or so.

You most likely would not have an issue until you had a load on it, enough to make the fan kick in.
