I suppose I oughta search this... but maybe later. Anybody find their fan speed switch goes dead except the highest speed? A few days later all is well... then back to antics. Gremlins? George
In my son's previous vehicle, an '03 1500 4x4, he complained of the same thing. Thought I knew exactly what it was, my '04 had a bad resister unit next to the blower motor a few years ago. So, I looked up under the dash and my daughter had kick the connector out. Reconnected, all is well.
My 01 has that same problem. It was the resister mounted on the fan motor. Not cheap part. One side burned out. R&R fixed the problem. On the 01 the fan is on all the time on law, no off at all so it heats the switch resistor all the time. New 07 has actual off on switch.
