took off my fan finally. on my truck, there are defrost and heat selections on dash that do not have the little snowflake symbol. wondering if i really need to diconnect the AC, relay, or fuse as long as i dont put that selector on any position with the snowflake?

Ya the ac turns on when defrost is on[short cycles] , with the cooler weather and the truck moving there should be more than enough air flow so there should not be a problum, as the weather warms up the and you start using the ac it cycles more often and for longer derations , then you would need a fan , I plan on putting on an electrical fan thats thermo operated .

As long as you aren't running the AC to try to cool the cab you'll have no problems. The compressor will cycle anytime the defroster is on.

Yes. A/C Runs in settings of: A/C, MAX A/C, Defrost, and defrost/floor.

You won't need the fan until temps are over 50°, and even then only at low vehicle speeds.

I know people that run fanless even in the summer, as almost all their driving is hwy, so they have plenty of airflow.

No need for a fan over ~45mph, even when towing.
