The Mason-Dixon Turbo Diesel Club has been around since the early begininngs of "Kauffman Motorsport's" at the old shop out in the country to the newer larger shop where we all hold our current events at,its sad when a old friend says goodbye. Alas, that has happened as Ernie and Nancy Kauffman have bowed out of Kauffman Motorsports and the business has been sold. I was the very first diesel truck they ever did way back when at a very small Saturn Club of America show and to see where we have progressed to now is impressive to say the least. That growth our club has experienced has been helped greatly by Kauffman Motorsports and their great employees as without such a great group we would never have gotten to where we are now. So to Ernie and Nancy I wish them the best with whatever they do,send them a HUGE THANK YOU and hope they will still come around to enjoy the shows and maybe Ernie can even get out some now and enjoy the outside happenings some.

So as we all here at the Mason-Dixon TDC bid a farewell to the Kauffman Motorsports name it allows us to welcome the newest owners. Here is the press release sent to me by those owners for all of you to read... ... ... ... .

Are we still having spring fling there? At the fall brawl my son and I were checking out some of the cars inside, an older gentleman walked up and started talking to us about the cars. My son and I asked asked quite a few more questions and he even walked around telling us about the shop.

I thought he worked there, turns out he was Ernie, the owner. A really cool guy. :)

As it is slated the "Spring Fling" and Fall Brawll" will still be hosted at that location. It is still the same great staff of guys, just the backing owner has stepped aside. I also hope Ernie and Nancy will be in attendance at our events. They have always been appreciated for opening there doors to us and they will be missed.

What Andy and LLoyd said echos the feelings of all of us at MDTDC, and car and truck performance enthusiasts everywhere. Here's looking forward to a great new season at SGS, and best wishes to Ernie and Nancy for their future, and the support they have shown us in the past.

Having been around since the inception, and we have seen Kauffmans grow. They have always been good to us, and I wish them the best of luck in whatever it is they do. Hope to see them in the future.
