Americana Personified in Music

About 2 weeks ago a coworker handed me a copy of this magazine.

I read the whole thing cover to cover that night and immediately went online to order up a 3-year subscription - I LOVED it.

The magazine has NO ads in it and has nothing but home-brewed creations made by farmers in rural America (and overseas... ) and of course commercially available stuff. The folks that made that V8 powered snowblower had a little article in the issue I saw...

I don't have a vested interest in this magazine, but I can say with certainty that the mindset of the average TDR member will really get a kick out of it.

I second everything you said. my grandfather got me hooked on it a few years back and have subscribed ever since . it is some really good reading and shows what can be done with a little ingenuity , its a great place to pick up ideas for ways to make or improve your own machinery. one of the best parts of the mag is the ' best and worst buys ' section , with product reviews.

deffinitely worth checking out.

With exception for not renewing for a while I was in college, I've been getting it since I was 13 years old. :) The videos they have are great as well. The early ones aren't real high quality tapes, but still fun to watch. One of the has a JD A, with a turboed (TO4 AR turbo) 240hp Olds V-8 diesel installed in it, and the same guy put a detuned (60hp) Olds diesel in a Farmall. :D

GREAT magazine. :D

I have a "Best of Farm Show" some where at the folk's place. Got it in the mid 90's.

I didn't know the magazine was still around. I might need to get a subscription.
