Hello
This has been posted before but the story has more info in in this time.
as far as the blend he is using there should be zero problems with it.
Please ,if you think putting gas in veg oil and burning it in your diesel is not right then that's ok. But remember if you have never tryed it then really you should not make fun of what this person is trying.
I know that what he is doing is just fine. the Cummins engine will burn about anything you put in to it I was told by the Head Mec at Cummins that 25% gasoline would not hurt the b engine but you would not like the way it sounds running .
Thining veg oil works,
more power to the smart farmer that nailed this one.
SOME DAY I WILL STOP IN AND SAY HELLO TO HIM DRIVING MY 04 DODGE RUNNING GAS THINED VEG OIL.

Hello Mike
That would be very hard to do because it dependes on what oil you have what the weather is at the time of the test it all changes the altitude barometric pressure temp all affect the what the specific gravity would be.
This is what the top fuel teams do for every round they check what the specific gravity of the fuel is in there mix or blend they run.![]()
But on a different note, he is doing more tests than myself and I am thinking he must think its worth it. Will let you all know what a hydrometer costs for checking diesel fuel.
Hope its not painfull. :{
