FASS 150 sounds like a siren...

I have had this pump/filter setup for about a year now without any problems, although three weeks ago I bought a Smarty and now the FASS cycles for 20-30 seconds EVERY time I cycle the key. The pitch of the pump also increases with throttle position now.

I tried setting the truck back to stock, but nothing changed. The pump used to only cycle for a few seconds except when I would bump the key. The whine is driving me crazy... . it sounds like a police siren as I shift gears.

Has anyone else ever heard of this happening?

Have you got it wired direct to the fuse box, or is it tied into the harness?

It's wired to the factory harness. It sounds like it is getting more than 12 volts when I accelerate (or just rev the engine) because when I wired it directly to 12 volts, I sounded like it always has.
