Check my sig, at idle I'm running 17-19 psi. Cruising speed about 15psi. Wide open pressure drops and stays at 11. I've heard that the glacier systems don't drop at all, or very little. Do I need something bigger? Also, this reading is being taken after the factory and the Glacier 2 micron filter (right before the CP3).

Thanks in advance, J. P.

If it's only pulling down to 11 I wouldn't worry about it. If you plan on stacking or going with a cp3 mod you will need more pressure. I have mine set at 42 and WOT is 40psi, but I haven't put my modded cp3 on yet...

That pressure sounds fine to me.

Do you have the FASS with filters?

I havent noticed a power increase with increased fuel pressure from my fass (from stock settings with fass).

no, I don't have the filters, it's just the pump. My future mods are some type of downloader, maybe a BDDL or a smarty, and a bigger turbo (maybe a sps62 or something similar). A rail pressure gauge is also on my wish list. I guess my goal is somewhere near 500 hp.

If you stay above 10psi I would think that is enough to get the job done.

I was good until the modded CP3 - I could pull my 150gph pump done to 13psi...

Look at my mods in my Sig. and I'll bet you with the "Smarty and TST stack" I have damn near 500 HP with the Smarty on 8 and TST 2/2. With a MP8 I would. Going to dyno in November, damn I should have got the Con FE!!!

would you reccomend the Smarty/Tst stack? I don't see any mention of aftermarket injectors in your signature. I've read of some smarty users having trouble with smarty, tst and injectors. Does the smarty allow you to rev/fuel past 3,000 rpm's? Why the mp8? Does the smarty not provide enough pressure alone?

I have an AirDog and it constantly stays at 19psi. Now matter what I do. Even at WOT with a TST, Smarty, EZ & injectors. More psi gained me absolutly nothing. Even at 35psi+ it didn't gain me more power. And that's with a stage 2 CP3

95 GPH is more than enough, but the design of the FASS units will not allow them to maintain the pressure you are looking for. You may want to consider changing to a better system. I do not have any experience with a Glacier system, so I can not comment there, but I know the AirDog will maintain its pressure even on heavily fueled trucks.

The 95 GPH can be converted to run 45 PSI when its needed. As for your pressure drop... . you are fine. And based on your pressure... . you have the HPFP? A huge pressure drop @ WOT might be signs of restriction in the lines or a gauge with an isolator that has air in the line. If it bothers you, might check with another gauge and maybe look into the suction line before the HPFP. Might also be a sign of a filter getting dirty. I have also see some foreign debris get into the check ball in the pump and cause a pressure issue at WOT. Make sure you have the 140 micron filter before the pump (IF you have the HPFP) Might look into our BBRK (Banjo Bolt Replacement Kit) for your truck. It replaces the Banjo Bolts between the stock filter head and CP3/VP-44 if you have the HPFP.

BBRK-1001 is the part number

Hope this helps... .....

I only have the fass pump, not the fass filter system

My pressure at idle is actually about 17 psi, cruising 15psi, wot 11psi

I'm not running an isolater at this time

The factory filter was replaced 2 days before the guage install

The 2 micron filter was also installed new 2 days before the guage install

I do have the fleetguard fuel strainer in place which was also replaced

I believe the big line kit that I have may be similar to your BBRK?

DIESEL-DAN... . i've just changed my HPFP to the new electric motor, and am showing a drop to 11-12 psi at WOT... . my old HPFP 95gph) did not do this. i will try changing out my main fuel filter, but can you tell me where i can purchase the pre-filter that came with the original fuel pump???i know its Fleetguard, but, like a dummy i forgot to copy down the number!!! thanks ..... tom

ps. i have just the HPFP... . not the complete system

New Fass Electric Motor

well,i think i'm going to keep my core pump,it's working fine, even higher pressure than the new pump i mentioned earlier... i'll get some extra brushes and brush caps from DPP and keep an expensive spare... LOL ;) its a pretty easy change-out if needed... ... . tom
