I'm considering the Fass 95 pump/ filter

how would I know if my factory pump was on the way out. Currently I have 55K miles and no apparent problems, mainly looking for added filtration.

Only one thing to worry about ... get a fuel pressure gauge that reads the supply pressure to the CP3 pump. That will tell you everything about the lift pump and the condition of the fuel filters. Be prepared the proper fix is to plumb in a new fuel suction line from the tank (i. e. drop the tank) and a return.



I once got a bad sip of fuel (don't know where it came from) and over one tank full of fuel my fuel pressure with the stock pump went from 7 psi to zero!



New new stock fuel filter and instantly back to 7-10 psi supply pressure.



Since then I have added improvements, and now running 18 psi supply pressure.
