Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Easy fix!!!!

My BD Aux pump failed the other day. It was a case of the oil pressure switch failing. I had loaned the truck to a friend and he reportedly had two mild cases of dead petal. The 216 code appeared. I fixed the switch and reset the codes. No codes yet, but I want to get this fixed for good, as I will be doing some towing soon.

I am running a Edge Comp (tapped) on a 2001. 5 HO LB 4x4. Other mods are BHAF, wastegate mod, BD exhaust brake, and 4" exhaust.

What FASS system should I use? The 95 or 150?

What about fuel lines?

I plan to bypass all of the stock system and feed the VP44 directly.

Are the Blue Chip Pumps best? What is the difference between them and the others? I see they replace the pump computer, but are the internals different?

I am not concerned about cost, I just want to do this properly. Any input, photos, links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Pete

Pete,

Good for you wanting to do this properly!

FASS 95 is all you need. Have you checked out AirDog? Mine has had zero issues in 295,000 miles. And the AirDog replacement filters are much less expensive than FASS. PM me for dealer contact.

FASS & AirDog come with the fuel hose you will need.

Blue Chip and everyone else buys their parts from Bosch so they all have the latest stuff. Scheid is where I buy pumps.

Fuel pressure gauge?

Godspeed,
Trent
