Stacking Smarty and Adrenaline

Depends on who you want to listen to. The 24 Valvers had a lot of problems with the lift pumps going out ( 98. 5-02) and "we" thought this may be a fix to the problem. Many people like the FASS and Air Dog systems.

Others will take there chance with what DC/Cummins gave them. For the 12 valvers, I dont know if they had any problems with there pumps or not. Do a search and see what you come up with.

Good Luck

So it seems there is no advantage to them at all on a 12v since JoeG says the stock lift pump can deliver all of the fuel you need reliably

No advantage????... .

I disagree with that.

While I have had my issues with FASS two things I can honestly say in truth about the install of the 150/180-1010@45psi on my 12v are these...

1-The truck does run alot smoother and starts easier with the FASS.

2-The ease of maintence is alot nicer now that I do not have to imitate Gumby and hang over the fender and motor to get the factory filter out. Couple that with longer service intervals due to larger and tighter filtration and its a double bonus.

I have had one issue which has never been resolved and nothing we have done has ever fixed it and that was advertised pressure. I had recieved the bigger springs and even the one which is meant for the Ford's and it will not push not a drop over 30spi both open and with the return lined clamped off as we were told to do way back when to check pressure. I have ran it as it is at 30spi and just quit fooling with it and its been like that for a few years now.

As for any claims to HP gains on a dyno, well I seen ZERO gain on the dyno-jet after the install of the FASS on mine... ..... Andy
