Has anyone seen or figured out a good way to connect the engine coolant system up to the FASS heat ports? In particular I would be looking for recommendations as to where to tap into the cooling system, what valve and sensor combination to use to control the coolant flow.

My thoughts are that I would want to stop heating the fuel when it is 50F and above and to start heating at 40F and below.

I'm sure were you are at they go to #1 diesel in the winter which has a lot lower gell temp. Of course you can alway add a additive that will keep the diesel from gelling to - degrees. But then again a diesel is starting to get hard to crank at +20F anyway. Just plug it up.

I would think a electric heater setup up would be better than a coolant system, unless the truck will be running 24 hrs a day.

I am in texas so dont have that problem down here ... but just my non tax deductable $0. 02 worth.
