Fass fuel line connection

Installing my stand alont 95gph pump and I can't get the new fuel line "quick disconnect" back on the tank fitting. Is the black plastic piece on the tank fitting supposed to stay there, or it is supposed to be removed to install the fass fitting?

remove the black plastic piece!

I couldn't get the little blue clip off, so I cut the damn thing off, line went on fine.



Now the pump won't shut off even if the truck isn't running, I have 25psi all the time, and the A/C won't work!
