Anyone with a first gen looked into one of these? Some interesting reading in the Product/accessories forum, especially for you guys chasing 500HP:D

Me, I'm curious. They appear to be spendy (between $550 and $800), and I'm gonna have to let the controller digest my latest bombing run, so just wondering if anyone in the first gen congregation has played with either. Any issues with higher pressure to our pumps?

Hey Pat,

The FASS system can work for the 1st gen crowd. The fuel pressure can be adjusted down or up from the standard 14 psi.

I'd like to add something to marks response... .

Always try to remember that our VE's are cooled AND lubed, solely by fuel.

The plunger/barrel components are a very high tolerance lap fit.

Anything that improves the purity of the fuel entering the pump is a big plus.

Any contaminants such as dirt particles, dissolved air, water, etc will have a direct effect on pump performance, and mortality... especially if, as many are doing, the pump is pushed hard for performance purposes.

I for one, when cash permits, will have one on my truck.

Bob.
