Well after running the FASS for several months now, I finally got around to installing a Westach fuel pressure gauge.

I mounted the sender right on the 1/8" drilling that is part of the FASS housing.

Idle is 15psi, cruising about 15-16psi.

Under throttling condition the FASS does not pull down, it stays right at 15psi!!

NICE!

What a great product. :D

You can hear it.

But it is in no way annoying, just sounds like a lift pump on steroids.

You cant hear it going down the road.

jwilliams,

Thanks for posting. I installed the DPP pump (only) a couple months ago. Of course, I soon wondered about the pressure data you posted above. Nice to know pressure is good. By "throttling condition" did you mean to say that pressure stays @ 15-16 psi under WOT?

I did some WOT stuff it didnt even budge.

A friend that has a 2000 24V (470rwhp) and his fuel pressure wont come off of 15psi under any condition.

fass with in tank pump?

I am considering fass for two reasons Ilike the better filtration as I run in baja alot and would like to go 2 micron and I wonder about the reliability of the stock pump over time as Ilike to explore remote locations and would like to plan on being prepared to fix myself . What did you do with the in tank pump?

We dont have in the tank pumps on our trucks ( unless u installed one aftermarket)

If you are talking about the stock lift pump, it is bypassed. FASS is plumbed directly to the VP injection pump.

Hope this helps,

J-

VP injection pumps

:--) :--) Hopefully, we don't have any VP injection pumps either... . not on 3rd Gen forum !!
