Fass Fuel Problems

I prefer a 11micron Donaldson filter/separator myself.
But then again, I’ve upgraded from a 25micron OEM filter separator rator with 1/2 the GPH as the Donaldson.

Not true. Although I like to use real fass filters, Ive used I think it was donaldson filters. Worked fine. But everyone has their own experience.

Could be, but not my experience. But as I said, I always use fass filters. I try to stay oem with everything I buy.

Sounds like a guy I work with. He put a Platinum on his '01. The pump would run for less than a minute, get hot, pop a fuse. He finally asked me to look at it. He had the return pump plugged. Said that's the way the instructions showed. Of course he'd thrown them away. I downloaded them from the website and showed him what to do. It's worked great for him now 2 years.

I have a stock 97 Dodge Ram 12 valve Cummins. when i bough the truck it had some weird aftermarket fuel filter relocation kit that was mounted to the intake horn. I didnt like it so I deleted it and decided to go with the Fass system not only to make servicing the fuel filters easier but also because supposedly the pump is the best in the market. i also bough it to support future mild hp upgrades but I'm learning that the stock lift pump can support quite a bit of hp. i wish i would have read a little more before purchasing the fast pump.

within a week of installing the fast pump all the internal o rings of the pump started leaking and most of the brass push lock fittings that Fass supplied with the kit have leaked and like I said in previous posts i have replaced most of the push lock fittings with vibrant performance aluminum fitting and have not had a problem with those. I have spent well over a $1000 for the pump and replacement parts for the Fass system and I do not recommend for those that are reading this. If your truck is going to be a race only truck then maybe. but if its a tower or a daily driver get a aftermarket mechanical lift pump or stay with a stock style lift pump. One just can't beat the reliability of the mechanical pumps.

and as far as the ****ty service from Fass they just try to make me feel stupid by saying i don't know what I'm doing and i didnt install it correctly or other lousy comments.

bought it from the Fass Fuel website and installed it myself

Hmm.......I wonder if it was really new ? Do they warranty their product if it isnt installed by a certified installer ? Some companies wont.

I looked at their web site and now I have another question. Did you buy it from fass ? Or fro fass fuel which looks like they say they are an internet authorized dealer?
