FASS fuel pump for $100?

A buddy of mine has a used FASS fuel system he wants to sell me it looks like its in okay condition, its a little dirty. He has all the factory wiring connections to install it and it comes with 2 new filters. Is there anything I need to look out for on these pumps? Are there any known problems out there? I dont know alot about them, but for 100 bucks I dont think I can go too far wrong?

The first thing to ask him is why he's getting rid of it.

I thought I heard there were problems with the brushes on the earlier FASS pumps.

$100 bucks even with the brushes bad is a steal.

Filters alone are almost that, aren't they?

He works at the dodge dealership here in town and he took it off a trade in.

I think he bought the filters and he just wants the $100 to pad his pocket.
