Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fass Fuel System Installed

I Put On A Fass Fuel System And My Truck Will Not Start.

There Is Fuel Getting To The The Vp44 But None To The Injectors.

What Could Be Wrong

What year truck is it, If its a 98. 5 to 02 pull off the new line installed to the VP44 and turn the key and allow the pump to get fuel to that point, once fuel comes out of the new line, re attach it and let her rip, i have done this to dozens with all success, worst case, crack the injectors one at a time and crank until you get fuel, but that should not be necessary

THE TRUCK IS A 99

Ok , I Already Disconnected The Line That Enters The Vp44 And Got The

Fuel To Come Out And Then Connected It Again And Still Nothing.

The Reason Why I Got The Fass Was Cause Last Night I Was Driving On

The Highway And The Lift Pump Just Gave Out. so I Replaced With The Fass

And Know The Truck Won't Start. i Was Gonna Do The Injector Process

Tomorrow I've Done It Before On Another Truck. So Could It Be Air In

The Lines Or The Vp44 Gave Out Along With The Lift Pump?

Crack open injector lines 1 and 4. bump the starter over so the fass pump will cycle for 30 seconds listen for it. If it only cycles for 2 seconds turn the ign. completly off for 20 sec. and then retry bumping the starter. After 2-3, 30 second cycles of the fass pump you should see indications that fuel is running from the injection lines. If so crank engine over and see if it trys to hit. If it does tighten #4 line down. Continue to crank engine untill it seems most of the cylinders are trying to hit. Tighten #1 down and continue cranking. You can crank starter for 30 seconds then allow the starter to cool for 2 min. between cranking. Make sure your batteries are fully charged.

If after you get the truck running and you have hard starts, try pulling the fuse for the fass and try restarting the engine. If the engine fires right up (reinstall fuse once engine fires) then you are going to have to put a momentary interupt circuit in during cranking. Your fass dealer should be able to get the circuit you need. Or you could put a switch in and control the fass that way
