Adding a lift pump closer to the fuel tank will only reduce the amount of cavitation, it will not eliminate it. Remember after air/vapor is removed from fuel a net positive pressure must be maintained to prevent cavitation, so a pump close to the fuel tank will not eliminate cavitation. By adding a fuel pump, depending on the volume, cavitation could also be increased putting more air/vapor to your injection pump and injectors. Also remember, usually the number 1 source for air in fuel is agitation, the longer you travel the more air that is present in fuel. This is why a chassis dyno does not report the true horsepower while the vehicle is in motion!
