Fass HPFP-95-1003 Oil Leak From Pump

I installed the pump on 3-8-09 and have about 500 miles on it. Today I noticed an oil drip at the bottom of the pump. I know the leak just started a day or so ago or today becuase I have been watching for fuel leaks me being paranoid and all. I don't no if it is coming from the small hole in the bottom of the pump housing or from the bottom of the motor and pump housing where they meet. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem? Did I get a bad pump?

Is it oil or diesel fuel?

It is oil smells like gear oil.

I have the same fass pump mine don't leak at all. How ever is a bit loud,compaired to the factory one.

We use a small amt of assembly oil in our pumps for the seals. When the pump heats up the oil can thin out and drip out the bottom sometimes depending on how much used. My suggestion is to clean it off with some brake cleaner and see if it comes back.
