Ran into a problem yesterday while installing my FASS system. My 04. 5 has the Jacobs Exhaust Brake on it and the vaccum pump for it is conveniently located right over the intake banjo bolt for the cp3 pump. #@$%! I do not have enough clearance for my FASS fitting to fit there. Anyone elso have this same problem? Anyone have any suggestions for an alternate install method? Any and all help greatly appreciated!

I had this problem too. It is good to see they changed there instructions like they said they were going to to when I informed them of the interference problem about a year ago. You have to follow the original hard line back to the rubber connection about half way between the rail and filter and remove it off the the hard pipe. Get some high pressure fuel injection clamps and put the blue hose on it. It has been working for me for about a year with no problems. Hope you understand my directions .

Aaron,

Thanks for the help! I was looking at that spot and wondering about doing just what you described. Guess I just wanted to hear that the hookup worked ok. :) How do you like your South Bend 3250 DD clutch? I just ordered the same one for my 04. 5. Thanks again for your help!!

Same boat with my AirDog. What size line is used with your Fass? If its 3/8, Glacier Diesel sells 3/8 high flow push lok banjos to get rid of the stock small restricted lines/banjo. If its 1/2 inch like my AD I'm looking for those push lok connectors as I type.

Thanks for the info! it is 3/8. I will definitely check out glacier diesel and see what the deal is with those fittings.

Love the clutch, I highly recomend the 3250. I had pressure plate spring failure with the 3600 and it turned into a little bit of a mess, but Southbend took care of me. The design for the 3250 is much more reliable and I have not had a problem with my high hp and towing 14k. It is a little noisey when you press down the clutch, but it is a small price to pay. I also have their upgraded hydros and I think the clutch is softer then stock.
