I'm in the process of installing my FASS and had a couple of questions. (Yes I searched first) I needed to clarify a few things.
I'm converting from a PE4200 system. Can I reuse my Steel braided lines that came with my previous system? Or should I replace the lines with the push on type that came with the FASS. (This would mean I need to get a few adapters as the fittings for the FASS are larger. )
I am hesitant to eliminate my stock fuel Filter (per the FASS directions) My concern is the electric fuel heater located inside the housing. Being from New England and the cold we experience I'm concerned about the possibility of waxing and rough starting and running in the extreme winter months.
Should I be concerned???
By keeping the Fuel filter housing am I adding additional stress on the FASS pump as well as my Injection pump due to pushing through 2 Filter medias? Will my Stock fuel filter and housing add air that the FASS does such a good job of removing??
I have replaced my the factory line from the filter housing to the injection pump with a braided steel line with a port for a pressure gauge. So there won't be any restriction there.
Yes I have a Bunch of questions.
I could use the TDR memberships advice and experience.
Thanks
