Hi folks. I do a lot of reading on here but just don't post very much. I try to be like a sponge and soak up a lot of info. I searched for hours yesterday but couldn't find an answer on this FASS thing.
I have the Platinum and also bought the Draw Straw 5, the extra 3 foot black hi pressure fuel line, and 1/8 pipe gauge sender nipple fitting. My truck is a 2001 2500 4 door quad cab. It has been retrofitted at Dodge dealer with the in tank fuel pump. The sales guys all recommended I get the extra hoses, and Draw Straw 5. Do I really need to run that straw versus the factory unit? Can I use the existing pickup tubes and pressure line running to the filter and ultimately the VP-44? is there a reason I shouldn't use the factory lines and pickup? does the FASS starve using the factory lines? What's up? I am a mechanic or at least I used to do it for a living in the Air Force. . so I am not an idiot, but can't decide how to go about this the most efficient way. Thanks for any and all comments.
