i bought a kit from for my 92 from vulcan perf
not the big double filter thing, just a pump and a ext filter
it is a really nice kit, very complete
however, i noticed one thing that they over looked and i wonder how many guys just installed the thing as per the instructions...
the problem lies in the fitting assembly that attaches the 3/8 line to the ve
they drilled and tapped (1/4 npt) the top of the 90 that goes on the adp fitting that screws into the ve. its so you can run a gauge
they incl a 1/4 to -4 fitting in the kit and a cap incase you are not going to run a gauge
that is all fine and dandy
however, when you screw that fitting into the 90 and tighten it the fitting goes into the fuel port and will cut off about 50% of the avail volume
its no big deal if you notice it, and drill the 90 back out after the fitting is tight (like they shoulda done before they shipped it)
but if you just screw it all together and inst it (like a lot of shops probably do) there is a good chance your motor is not getting the volume it needs at high rpm
just thought i would share that - would hate to spend that kind of money on a fuel system and not be getting everything it was designed to give
