Guys i need your help, i just bought a 02 HO and today put a full fass system on. Its a 95 unit. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge bc it didnt shipped in time. So i went ahead with install, i wanted to use plumb the fass back into the fuel filter unit so i could still have my light and heater and extra filtering. So i went a head with the install, took my time and got done tonight. I went ahead with the directions on priming and it didnt work. So i went on to unscrew the fuel filter about a 1/2 inch back on the fass and bumped the start till i heard a change in tone with the pump. After this i bumped it four times and tryed starting wouldnt start. After this i unscrewed the fitting that goes into the regular fuel filter to see if i had fuel pumping to there, bumped the starter and fuel came out, i went back and tightened back up and bumped starter couple more times, and tryed to start..... nothing. Im am in help of some help on what might be wrong and what should i do next. I dont want to kill the injector pump. Should i wait till monday till my mechical guage gets here or what???

CD, You may have to loosen the filter on the fass until the fuel runs out when you bump the engine over. You can hear the change in the pump sound, like you said. When you hear the change leave the filter loose until the fuel spills out then tighten. You may also have to loosen one of the plugs on the orginal filter. Sometimes there hard to get going but just keep at it. You'll get it started. Just keep doing what you were doing. Thanks Steve B

ctd8999, thanks for your input, i did let the fuel spill out of the fass fuel filter and then tighten back up and still no start. What do you mean the plug of the regular filter??Should i crack the bolt going into the injector pump and see if im getting fuel to spill out there???If so will i hurt any of the seals on that banjo bolt if i do crack it to see if fuel is coming out. ???Thanks Cole.

When I installed my FASS, all I did was prime the line to the VP. Once that was primed, took about 10 seconds of cranking and the truck came to life with a rough idle, (residual air). I then gave it lite throttle and took it out for a run down the road. Took about 2 miles before everything settled down. I never cracked an injector line. :)

I got it started guys, all i did was crack the line to the vp and bumped the started and saw fuel coming out so i closed it got in it and started it and pumped the throttle a couple times and she started right up. All i need to do now is cap the other lines. Thanks for all your help. Cole
